Professional consultation involves receiving feedback about your work (whether online or in-person), information about relevant theories and research, possible interventions, resources, and support. I like to focus on the specific needs of different client(s) while supporting you to work in the way that best fits you.
We can meet in a private chat room or communicate with emails.
Consultation can be short or long-term. Long-term consultation offers many of the same benefits of long-term therapy - an opportunity to develop a trusting relationship that facilitates a deeper exploration of issues.
Many professionals who seek online consultation say that they find the medium of writing conducive to their learning style; that they like consulting from their homes or offices; and that they can be more open about their difficulties and questions - that they talk about things that they might not otherwise. Any medium that facilitates openness and honesty can only contribute to our professional development and accountability.
